‘Noetic’ is the fruit of the latest collaboration between #AntonyGormley and choreographer #SidiLarbiCherkaoui representation at #SadlersWell in London via @galleriacontinua (In ‘Noetic’, 19 black-clad dancers from the GöteborgsOperans Danskompani, elegantly dressed by fashion design duo #LesHommes, manipulate pliable carbon fibres, designed by Cherkaoui’s regular collaborator, the sculptor Antony Gormley. The two artists already worked together for a previous show entitled ‘Icon’ in which Gormley covered the stage of Sadler’s Wells with three-and-a-half tonnes of clay

A new composite material made of residues from industrial waste streams. The name Lithoplast suggests its abilities: Lithos- meaning “stone”, and Plast, meaning “capable of being shaped or molded”. Photo: Alan Boom Lithoplast is made through a process inspired by Metamorphism (the same geological process that transforms limestone into marble) and after heating can be shaped in a similar way to clay. It is a speculative driven material that questions the notions of what is man-made and what is natural, what is bad and what is good, while illustrating shifts in material values and resources. ‘Lithoplast’ and all other nominated projects were on show in October during @dutchdesignweek Dutch Design Week
